Here's what I'm checking out from the library's music collection.

  • Neil Young, "Hitchhiker": Gems from an acoustic session in 1976. Can’t wait!
  • Beck, "Colors": Pop gems from the man who continues to make pop gems.
  • Kamasi Washington, "Harmony of Difference": He played sax on Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp a Butterfly. His Kung Fu is strong!
  • Leon Russell, "On a Distant Shore": Final release from a very talented musician and songwriter who played with everyone from the Beatles to Frank Sinatra.
  • Foo Fighters. "Concrete and Gold": Former Nirvana drummer and the nicest guy in rock 'n' roll releases another rocker with his mates.
  • Pearl Jam, "Let’s Play Two": Grunge darlings play a show at Wrigley Field
  • "The Vietnam War: A Film" by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick Original Soundtrack
  • Liam Gallagher, "As You Were": Noel & Liam Gallagher, estranged brothers and co-founders of 90s sensation, Oasis, may appear as petty and arrogant megalomaniacs, but they create wonderful music.
  • Macklemore, "Gemini": Sans Ryan, but features some guests. I’m putting it in my holds queue
  • Robert Plant, "Carry Fire": The golden-maned rock god shares his 11th studio effort with The Sensational Space Shifters and Guest Stars. “Valhalla, I am coming!”
  • Bootsy Collins, "World Wide Funk": From James Brown to Parliament-Funkadelic, Bootsy has been to the game and played it!
  • Steve Winwood, "Winwood Greatest Hits Live": One of the greatest voices in rock 'n' roll, period!

All of the previously mentioned CDs are in the Kitsap Regional Library collection so head on down to your local library branch and get some music.
